The 1952 Morgan Plus 4 is a quintessential British Sports car that blends vintage charm with superb performance.
The name “flat rad” was due to its flat front radiator design, used only until 1953.
Powered by the 2.1 litre in-line 4, mated to the 4 speed Moss box, this car benefits from twin SUs and has, it is believed to be, an uprated engine.
Only 117 “flat rad” Morgan 2 seater sports cars with the more powerful 2.1 litre (TR2) engine were built.
Built in the traditional hand built style of an ash frame clad in aluminium/steel the “flat rad” models are prized for their rarity and pre 1953 design.
This example of the marque is a well presented example of one of the most collectible and historically significant Morgans built. It has had over £5500 spent on mechanical overhauls in 2016, having done minimal mileage since.
A Morgan well worth considering owing to its lightweight construction, exemplary handling and impressive power to weight ratio (790kgs) KWP 926 is priced at £19,000.
