Ashridge Automobiles is pleased to offer this Riley Monaco, an increasingly rare sight nowadays.

NJ935 was put back on the road in 1979 and is declared manufactured 1932 on the V5C under it’s original registration number. It is however the ‘sloping radiator’ model and is therefore late 1932, early 1933 season.

Finished in green and black with brown leather upholstery, this 9hp car has had much expenditure on the engine and running gear over many years together with a largely replaced ash frame.

The body panels are all good, all lights and instruments work (except the Hobson’s telegauge) and the car drives very well.

This car would benefit from a repaint in the future and to date there is no headlining, which Ashridge Automobiles will undertake at an extra cost. I think the term used and improved comes to mind

Powered by the famous ‘9’ engine and mated to a silent 3rd 4 speed gearbox, there are a plethora of invoices on file from 1998 to 2005 totalling £4300, plus further invoices for the last owner.

The engine benefits from overhauled twin SUs, Newman sprite cams, new cam followers and a refaced head.

Running well and on the road, the car could be turned oily rag to used and improved.
