XAS 402

A Riley Lynx Tourer dating from 1933. This car is a nicely patinated example of the two door, disappearing hood version. The car is registered as a Riley Lynx Tourer although the body may have been built on a Monaco chassis of the same year. She has the famous Riley 9 engine of 1089cc, mated to the correct all helical gearbox and has twin SUs and exhaust cams for extra ooomph.

She has been reupholstered (2003) in red and green leather with maroon carpets and sports a full hood and tonneau. Additionally, most of the bright work was re-chromed (2002).

The car drives nicely and recently attended the Enfield Pageant Of Motoring. A little cosmetic TLC to the running gear may be in order; this is a car that is used on a regular basis.
