Talbot 75 Sport Special

Date of first registration: 2/11/1936

Chassis Number: 2529

Class: Sports Historic Vehicle

Ideal basis for 105 team car replica.

An ideal candidate to make a potent and powerful 6 cylinder Special. This Talbot 75 started life as a saloon before the current special body was built upon it. It comes with a full complement of instruments, desirable P100 headlamps in good condition and a full height leak Talbot 75 radiator. The car is fitted with a 2.3l straight 6 engine mated to a 3 speed Humber gearbox. A torquey, long legged combination good for speeds upwards of 80mph.

The bonnet and scuttle appear to be original to the car however the rest of the body and wings have replaced the original Saloon body to create a functional 2 seater tourer with large boot space, suitable for longer distance and continental touring which one of the previous owners used the car for frequently. The car is in need of full recommissioning however with the V5 showing the car as a Sports Historic Vehicle, is also an ideal candidate to remove the current body and create a new body upon it. Replica Talbot 105 team cars can be built using a 75 as a basis.

An opportunity to acquire an ideal project for the coming Winter, with the V5 work already done and the original body already removed.
