A chrome bumper MGB GT with overdrive in Mallard Green with black interior and an impressive history file containing every invoice and MOT certificate dating back to 1985. The history file shows that the car has covered just 55,000 miles in it’s lifetime and has had a total restoration in 1990.
The car has seen light usage since 2000, the car being acquired by it’s current owner in 2020 and the previous owner purchasing it in 1999. Prior to that it was owned by Mr A Goddard whom, the history file shows, undertook the complete restoration of the car in 1990 with MG Car Clinic in Canterbury. Correspondence indicates that the car was then used for daily commuting between Faversham and Forest Row.
Powered by the 1.8l B Series engine and mated to a 4 speed gearbox with overdrive. The car runs and pulls well, with the engine sounding very smooth indeed.
The interior presents well the black upholstery in good condition and without rips. Externally the paintwork is showing its age with paint bubbling showing through particularly on the doors. Overall however the car appears to be solid with the arches, door bottoms and front lip not showing any rusting through. The brightwork is in very good condition.
A very usable classic with low mileage and large history file, able to be used and enjoyed as is with a good basis to respray if desired.
