The Jaguar XK150 was introduced in 1957 to succeed the XK140 with updated styling and improvements to passenger comfort with a widened body and larger interior space. The model was originally launched with the 3.4l XK engine before the 3.8l was fitted in 1959. Over 9,000 150’s were made between the Fixed Head, Drop Head and Roadster body styles.

This particular car was manufactured in February 1956. The Heritage Certificate states that it is was supplied to Rome, Italy as a RHD car, originally painted in a non-standard Silver Grey with blue interior and fitted with a 3.4l engine. The car was then shipped to California at some stage before the car returned to the UK in 2003.

The car now presents well in an attractive colour combination of maroon with light grey leather interior. The 3.4l engine pulls with good oil pressure and the overdrive functions as it should. The bonnet has had louvres added, presumably to aid in cooling in it’s (former) warmer climates!

The current owner acquired the car in 2012 and has been cherished and garage stored with an indoor cover included in the sale. Invoicing on file covers expenditure on the car during it’s time in the UK including a full re-trim in 2014 and a rolling road in 2015 showing 194bhp.

The car will come supplied with an MOT prior to sale.
